Your role focuses on the science. We take care of the commercialization, including business modeling, funding, branding, and investor relations. You remain the scientific lead and the key brain behind the IP, while we manage the path to market and long-term venture development.
You remain the creator and intellectual owner of the innovation — we need you for that. From our side, we take responsibility for commercial exploitation and value creation. To do this effectively, at some point we will need access rights to the IP, which we negotiate transparently together with you and your institution.
Yes. When collaboration involves broader commercialization work, we typically join as a beneficiary to contribute holistically to the project. If the scope is limited to non-core activities such as market analysis or communication, we may participate as a subcontractor instead. For evaluators to view our role as a strong match, it’s important that we contribute meaningfully to commercialization and technology development tasks within the project.
We begin with a joint assessment to identify the most promising commercialization pathway. The simplest way to start is by co-developing a funding roadmap or proposal. This allows us to handle the business, technology, and funding aspects, while you continue focusing on the research itself.
